A happy day at that! I've been working on a labor of love over the past 15 months. Very slowly yes, but bit by bit the project has come together...
Last summer I had the opportunity to bid on, and the good fortune to win, a decommissioned gas kiln. A sweet little 8 cu ft downdraft. After moving it to its new home I had a shed built around it, plumbed it, and the pieces (below) from my first official firing were revealed at this year's Open Studio.
So now I can explore my shinos and celadons to my heart's content. I am very very happy and can't wait for my next firing!
